Growing the 1st Century Church in Metro Atlanta

As Atlanta grows, St. Mark Atlanta is growing and establish a new home! We’re excited to start this new journey and growth together, and with the help of the Atlanta community, we look forward to the new growth. Check out our story below!

Our Story

Growing Together

We are blessed to have grown over the past 4 to 5 years, although we moved around nearly a dozen rental locations.

Through your support, we will be planting the same roots that St. Mark brought to Egypt, but now in our city of Atlanta.

St. Mark Church seeks to preserve the Coptic Orthodox faith handed down to us by the Apostles of the first century, while removing any cultural barriers.

We are ready to plant permanent roots in a building we can call home.

But we can’t do this alone, so we're asking for your help to reach our goal.

Now What?

Finding Our New Home

We have been seeking a permanent location since 2018, and we have recently purchased a building in a central location. By the grace of God, we were recently able to purchase a 3.2 acre property.

Planning to Move In

We are working to finalize plans for our new property keeping in mind our goals. Since our inception, our mission has always been to be a church that is IN Atlanta, FOR Atlanta. Having a permanent home helps us accomplish two objectives:

  1. Bring the architectural richness and beauty of our ancient church to aid our participation in liturgical worship

  2. Be a central hub for our service programs, allowing us to be a light in Atlanta

Your Help

The Church is what Christ taught, the apostles preached, and the fathers preserved." -St. Athanasius (360 A.D.)

The time is now. God has opened a door and it’s up to us to do our part and build His house together. But we can’t do it alone. We need your help to plant permanent roots in Atlanta.

That’s why we are asking you to join us in supporting the construction of this building so we may continue the great work God has begun – and the work He wants to continue to do.

Your support goes beyond the construction of a building.

Your support in planting St. Mark Church's permanent home will impact lives for generations to come.
